PASTAFONIA is a personal site that takes the “same pasta” as made by popular chefs and cooks on YouTube, breaks it into four steps—boiling, base, emulsion, finish—and lines them up so you can take any step from any chef and make the plate your own.
What we do
- Transcribe the steps from videos and recipe pages onto the same axes (pasta, salt, fat, emulsion method, heat, finish) and compare them
- A recipe builder that lets you pick a chef for each step, with compatibility checks on the combination
- Tie the gear and ingredients seen in each chef’s videos to that chef, with a shopping list
What we don’t do
- Re-host videos or thumbnails. Videos are referenced only through YouTube’s official embed
- Claim endorsements or partnerships. A gear link records that an item was used in a video; it says nothing about the chef’s opinion
- Reproduce cookbooks. Information from books is cited and summarized, never copied
Editorial policy and accuracy
PASTAFONIA Editors is the editorial byline of this independently run site. Sources include original videos and official material as well as third-party transcripts and commentary. Verification limits are stated in the text and style labels. Listing a source does not mean every statement has been checked against primary material or tested in a kitchen.
On language
The Japanese edition is the original; this English edition is a translation drawn from the same data, so the numbers and steps match. Videos from Japanese chefs are in Japanese, but the step-by-step breakdowns are fully readable here.
